Dear Third Grade Families,
I hope you are doing well and enjoying your week so far. I wanted to give you some information regarding our upcoming school events.
10/28 All Saints Day
Students should come to school dressed as their saint this Friday, October 28th. Please try to arrive to school early as we need time to put away our backpacks when the bell rings and walk over to Mass to process in. Students may wear their uniform under their costume or bring it to change in to after Mass when we return to the classroom.
Monday Halloween
As you know, Monday is Halloween. Students may come to school dressed in costume. We will be doing some activities in the classroom in the morning. After recess we will have the costume parade and Trunk or Treat on the yard. School ends at noon.
Please be sure your child’s costume is appropriate for school. Students may not be clowns, due to all the scares that have taken place recently. Students should also refrain from wearing masks that cover eyes and faces and should have minimal props. Students may not be anything violent or overly scary. If you have any questions, please let me know.
11/1 All Saints Day Mass
Tuesday, November 1st is officially All Saints Day and is a Holy Day of Obligation. Therefore we will be attending Mass on Tuesday rather than Friday. Students need to come in their Mass uniforms that day. We also have PE that day, so please have students pack their PE uniforms or wear them under their Mass uniform. Students will have the opportunity to change after Mass.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Mrs. Galarza
