Hello First Grade Families,
I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Our first grade class is having a fabulous week learning and growing together! I wanted to address a question I have received about the weekly math homework to avoid any future confusion. This week I collected Monday night’s math assignment as a formative assessment in order to drive my math instruction for the week. If your child turned in their Monday night math homework, I have it and it will be counted when I submit grades into Gradelink tomorrow. If you have the Monday night math homework still at home, please send it in your child’s homework folder tomorrow.
For the future, math homework should be completed the night it is assigned and placed in your child’s “Return to School” pocket in their homework folders. This will be checked every day, so students MUST turn in their homework folder in the morning if they would like to receive credit. Moving forward into next week, the student’s nightly math homework assignments will also be collected every single day unless otherwise noted.
All in all, your students are all doing a GREAT job with their homework! I appreciate all of the student’s hard work, as well as you all for taking such care and consideration for the assignments. Thank you for being patient and understanding with this first week of homework, and please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns!
Warmly,
Ms. Lozano
