First Grade Illnesses

I am sad to report that there is a bug going around in first grade, and many students are becoming ill with a fever. Today we had six students absent and three went home early due to illness.

We are doing our part in the classroom to stay germ-free by using clorox wipes to clean our desks in the morning and in the afternoon, washing our hands, using hand sanitizer, and sneezing/coughing into our elbows. Please encourage your child to follow these best practices at home as well!

Also, just a friendly reminder that if your child has a fever, the MUST be fever free for 24 hours before they can return to school. This is to ensure your child gets the rest that he or she needs in order to be healthy again, as well as keeps germs out of the classroom, especially for illnesses that are contagious.
