Hello First Grade Families!
Happy Thursday! Thank you so much for your continued gifts and treats in honor of teacher appreciation! As we say in the first grade classroom, “my bucket is so full!”
Below are some reminders for muffins with moms tomorrow. Please refer to them so everyone can have a fun morning and I can account for each student’s safety:
- Students will not enter the classroom with their backpacks until 7:50am. This is because I will be on morning duty.
- Moms and special persons should wait outside the classroom until the first graders line up in two straight lines at promptly 7:55am.
- When the first graders line up at 7:55am, moms may hold their child’s hand and walk over with us to church.
- Prior to entering the church, each mom or special person must sign my clip board indicating that they will attending the “Muffins with Moms” happening after the church.
- We will sit in the first grade spot without eighth grade buddies unless told otherwise. DO NOT leave the first grade designated area in the church with your child.
- NOTE: Moms and special persons who have multiple children at the school are the only families that may sit in a different area with their children. If this is the case, please see me and sign your child out on my clip board. This is for safeguarding the children purposes.
-
After mass, those with mothers there (or a female guardian/family member/friend over 18) may go straight to the Hall to celebrate Muffins with Moms until 9:30 am, then they must return to class. No one is allowed to leave campus with adults unless they are officially signed out by the school. This is for the safety of our children and to make sure all students are accounted for.
And of course, it is understandable many moms and special persons may not be able to attend due work and other commitments, so students who will not be attending,”Muffins with Moms,” will come back to the classroom to do a special craft.
Thank you for your cooperation in following these procedures to make this wonderful family event a success! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, and I will see you tomorrow!
Warmly,
Ms. Lozano
