Dear First Grade Families,
I hope you all are well! We had another fun day today in first grade! Today we had our first all school fire drill, and the first graders did an amazing job listening and following directions. I know they will be well prepared and safe in case of any emergency!
Below are a few reminders to ensure we have another successful week:
- If you send your children to school with shoe laces instead of velcro, please ensure that your children are practicing how to tie their shoes at home. With a large class size, it is challenging for Mrs. Ray and myself to tie everyone’s shoes, so this is a great skill for your child to learn as first graders.
- If any of your children are not Baptized yet, but would like to be, please let me know asap! Please keep in mind that First Holy Communion preparations officially begin in second grade.
- TOMORROW our students have P.E. for the first time this year! Please send your child to school in their P.E. uniform.
- The first graders have been doing a great job turning in their green homework folders into the file box outside the first grade classroom every morning! Please continue to encourage your child to turn in their folder as soon as they hang up their backpacks.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Looking forward to another great day with our fabulous firsties tomorrow!
Warmly,
Ms. Lozano
