Dear First Grade Families,
I hope you all enjoyed your four-day weekend! It was so nice seeing the students again after a long weekend. Below is the homework for this week:
Go Math! Homework
-Tuesday pg. 113,114, 115, & 116 (extra pages due to no homework last week
-Wednesday pg. 117 & 118
-Thursday pg. 119 & 120
Sight Word Journal
-Students only need to complete 3 activities this week because there was no school yesterday!
-The words for this week are: people, my, first, than
-Students will be tested on the spelling of these words on Friday, February 22nd.
Reading Log
-In class, we are working on identifying the main idea in nonfiction books.
-For homework, students should read a nonfiction book (books that give information, or are real/not pretend), and complete their reading log by writing the main idea (what the book is mostly about) of the book.
-If you do not have a kid-friendly nonfiction book at home, Raz Kids is a great resource! The link for Raz-Kids can be found under “Quick Links” on the first grade blog page.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Have a great afternoon!
Warmly,
Ms. Lozano
