Dear Parents and Guardians,
First off, I want to thank Sr. Tina Dinh and Mrs. Lourdes Islas for preparing our school students for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion! It was so beautiful to see our children on fire with the Holy Spirit and with such an innocence and love of Christ! Thank you, Sr. Tina for helping to form our students every day with your teaching and your example. We were also blessed to have so many sisters in the congregation blessing our students with their presence. Our grade 3-5 Penance Service is today.
Thank you for your participation in our school’s 2nd Scholastic Book Fair of the school year! Our first one was in October, and we earned 40% of the proceeds. We ran a second book fair to earn 70% of the proceeds. The grand total from our March Book Fair was $4,916.32! Our school will earn 70% of this total, which will go back to book purchases for our school and classroom libraries. This is amazing! Thank you so much to all our parent volunteers who made this fair a success: especially Mrs. Pattie Padilla, Mrs. Lourdes Islas, and Mrs. Claudia Garcia, our Library PLC leads. Congratulations also to all our raffle winners! Thanks again to Coastal Coffees and the Marthalers for making the week so memorable. We look forward to having you on campus again on May 1 for our next general parent meeting.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. We will have activities to keep the safety of our children at the forefront of our minds. Our Jog-A-Thon is this Thursday, April 4 from 8am-12 noon. We will have shave ice on campus that day. Please support our 8th grade class by purchasing something from the truck! In 2 weeks it is already Holy Week and Easter Break is around the corner. God bless!
Mrs. Grey, Principal
