Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you all had a blessed Easter break with your families. Jesus is truly Risen! We have MANY fun and exciting events coming up, now that spring is in full swing–including our Parish Fiesta, Spring Musicals and of course – graduation. Before the break, we had our Holy Week Lenten retreats in grade levels, and ended our day with LIVE “Stations of the Cross,” led by our 8th graders. This solemn remembrance is always a striking way to enter into the Easter Triduum and prepare for all of us to spiritually experience the joyful Resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday.
As we sprint toward the finish line in the last weeks of school, I want to remind you of our 3rd and final mandatory General Parent Meeting on May 1 in the HALL at 6:30pm. Coastal Coffees will be on campus after school on 5/1, and there will be Arts Alive student performances.
Our Parish Fiesta is coming up and the ride setup begins May 11. That means May 13-15 will be 12 NOON dismissals to ensure student safety. Teachers will do a “rainy day schedule” to keep kids indoors. Daycare will be available May 13 and 14 until 3pm ONLY and there will be NO DAYCARE on May 15. The Fiesta is May 17-19. School resumes on Tuesday, May 21, because Fiesta Cleanup is Monday, May 20. Mark your calendars!
The Small Class Musicals are on May 29-30 during the school day. Our Theater group’s “Aladdin Jr” show dates are May 31 and June 1, from 7-9pm. Tickets are on sale through Mrs. Garcia. I hope all families join us for these exciting performances!

DID YOU KNOW? Ongoing child sexual abuse prevention training
Since 2002, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles has trained about 330,000 adults to proactively protect children and young people from child sexual abuse and reporting misconduct. In addition, over 165,000 children and young people receive safe environment training annually. In 2018, the Office of Safeguard the Children launched its new“Empowering God’s Children & Young People” Program, which empowers children and young people by giving them the knowledge and tools to keep themselves safe and teaches them to tell a parent, guardian or safe adult if anyone makes them feel uncomfortable, scared or confuse.
