Good Afternoon Kindergarten Parents,
Our students have been hard at work writing their picture stories. We would like to invite you to celebrate our hard work with an informal writing celebration. Please join us in the kindergarten classroom on Monday, October 28th from 3:00pm-3:30pm. This will be a chance for the students to show off their picture books and for families to celebrate their hard work. All family members are welcome. Students who will stay in daycare will be able to attend the celebration, and go to daycare afterwards.
As a reminder, students may not be dropped off earlier than 7:30am. Adult supervision is not provided until 7:30am. Students should not be left unsupervised. While waiting for school to begin students should be sitting on the blue bench, or standing in front of the classroom calmly. Running around or playing tag is not allowed in the morning.
Because there is no school on Friday, we will be attending Mass on Thursday morning. Students should wear their formal Mass uniform.
Remember, students may dress up as any saint of their choice for the Mass on All Saint’s Day. Students do not need to dress up for their in class presentation. An email with the presentation schedule was sent previously and a copy is posted outside of the classroom. Please use the gold/silver circle that was sent with the project as a halo for the saint doll. All projects are due on Monday, October 28th.
This is the first year kindergarteners have been assigned a saint in class. So the portion regarding why you chose this saint, should be modified to why was this a good saint to be assigned. Thank you for your understanding with this section.
Finally, parents who review our school on Google, Yelp, and Greatschools.org and send a screenshot to Mrs. Grey at agrey@stanthonygardena.org, will be credited one service hour. All three reviews are required in order to earn the service hour.
Thank you for taking the time to read through all of our updates! Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Ms. Strohm
