Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,
We had a wonderful College Fair last week Wednesday in the Hall! All our junior high students did a terrific job with their tri-fold boards and informative papers. Special thanks to Mrs. Dyogi, for her leadership and hard work with our students.
This week we have our Halloween celebration on Thursday, 10/31. All Saints’ Day is Friday, 11/1, and All Souls’ Day is 11/2. On Thursday, students may dress in appropriate costumes (teachers must approve costumes ahead of time. No weapons or gory costumes, please). We will have Noon Dismissal on Thursday after Trunk or Treat, Room Parents will be working with their classroom parents to decorate classroom trunks. Daycare will only be until 3pm on Halloween.
We begin our next big fundraising event: our Hawaiian Raffle (11/6-12/6), unless you opted to pay your $500 financial commitment upfront. Please purchase or sell at least $200 worth of Hawaiian Raffle tickets per family, for a chance to win a trip for 8 days and 7 nights to my home state of Hawaii! This is our most popular fundraiser because families get credit for every dollar they sell. The opportunity drawing will take place after our Christmas Program on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019. Remember, it is also always an option to pay off the $500 fundraising fee early or roll it into your FACTS tuition payments, but this is a lot more fun! As a reminder, if you opt out, you will NOT receive any raffle tickets and will be invoiced after the drawing in mid-December. Please See our Finance Secretary, Mr. Carlos Aguilar, for more details or speak to Mrs. Leah Nakayama and Ms. Angelic Nunez, our Fundraising PLC Chairs, if you have any questions.
Mrs. Grey, Principal
