Happy Sunday! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. Please take note of some reminders for tomorrow and next week.
STAR TESTING
Tomorrow, Mon. 01/13, we will start our STAR testing for our first graders. Please make sure that your child eats nutritious breakfast and has enough of sleep before going to school.
Baptism Homework
On Thursday, 01/ 16 is the due date for our homework. Once again, if your child has not been baptized, you may talk to them about their birth. If you have any pictures of your child during their baptism, you may include that and put it in a white envelope. We will return them by the week after. We will share their baptism stories in class.

Parents, please make sure to read, sign and return the permission slip tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 13.
Uniform Infraction
I would like to remind you to make sure that your child is wearing our school uniform and only wearing our school colors. Sweaters/ jackets, any accessories, tennis shoes should only be black, blue and gray. No red, green, orange, etc. No nail polish. Failure to follow the rules will result to a uniform infraction.

Cultural Diversity Puppet
Due Date for this project will be on Jan. 23rd, Thursday
With help from a parent, students will:
1. Complete the attached report sheet. (where the family’s from, language spoken, draw and color the national dish, flag and the traditional clothing)
2. Using the stencil, cut out and dress up your puppet with the traditional clothing of your culture.
3. Place the puppet inside the Ziploc with your number.
4. Be prepared to present it on Jan. 23rd– 24th.

Religion Test (Oral Test on our daily Prayers)
This second trimester, I will be testing their knowledge on our catholic prayers which includes Sign of the cross, Our father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Guardian Angel Prayer. We say these prayers everyday so our first graders know them. This week, our focus will be sign of the cross and Our Father.
Below are the test dates for our prayers:
Sign of the Cross & Our Father: Jan. 24th
Hail Mary: Feb. 7th
Glory Be: Feb 21st
Guardian Angel Prayer: Feb 28th
