Dear First Grade Families,
Happy Sunday! And Happy Mother’s Day to all our AMAZING MOMS! Mothers hold everything together, play so many roles & living proofs that magic still exists! Wishing you all the love and smiles that you deserve!
Please take note of some reminders for this week and attached below is our agenda of the week.
- 1st grade May Crowning: Monday, 05/11 at 9am.
To celebrate this special day, our firsties will pray the rosary 📿 at 9am. Families are welcome to join us. Please have a rosary ready, a picture or small statue of Mary with some flowers 💐
I would like to ask 3 parent volunteers that would like to lead the third-fifth Joyful mysteries. Let me know!
- BEHAVIOR GRADES
I would like to ask everyone to please remind your child of our rules during zoom classes. Starting tomorrow, Monday, I will deduct points from their behavior grade if they are called upon multiple times for not following our rules.
ZOOM RULES:
- Show up 5 mins before the class time and wait to be admitted into class.
- Find a quiet place, free of distractions (siblings, television, pets, etc.) (Parent or adult supervision is recommended during the sessions)
- Change out of your Pj’s and be ready for class.
- Use the restroom before sessions.
- Sit down quietly with your eyes on the camera.
- Listen Attentively and follow directions
- Be respectful in your speaking, writing and actions.
- Do not talk while teacher or others are talking.
Stay on MUTE. Use hand signals or click the “raise hand” button if you would like to participate or have any questions.
- Video needs to remain ON to promote focus. (Inform teacher if parents want video OFF but an adult should be supervising the child)
- Refrain from eating, chewing gum or drinking
- Stay ON TASK.
- Missing/Incorrect activities
Parents, please always double check and carefully read all the reminders that are being posted on our band app. Please also check Seesaw if I sent back some activities that are done wrong. I’m missing activities and test from some students. Every day, I give out the list and I indicate the specific pages and activities to be submitted. I’ve sent group reminders, private chat and even email but I still don’t receive anything from some of you. If I don’t receive anything, I don’t have anything to grade. This will greatly affect their final grades. If you are not sure which activities to submit, please don’t hesitate to ask me or Mrs. Ray
- ST MATH
Please encourage your child to work on their ST MATH, this will be part of their final grade. Our goal is 99-100%.
- SCIENCE ANIMAL HABITAT PROJECT

- South Bay’s Best Private School for 2020
Please don’t forget to vote for our school, St. Anthony of Padua School as Best Private School in the South Bay, under the PLACES category online for the Daily Breeze Readers’ Choice Awards. Please check out our school website for the link and steps to vote. All the awards we are winning and the positive reviews online drive traffic to our school, helps to increase enrollment, and eventually help all of us with more monies and resources to help us buy what we want and need for our children to enhance their learning and education. Thanks for your help and support!
Please don’t hesitate to ask me if you have any questions! HAVE A WONDERFUL SUNDAY!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all our AWESOME MOMS! You are a blessing!
Warmly,
Ms. Martinez
