Good Morning Parents,
It’s hard to believe it is the last full week of the school year! This week we will focus on words with the long vowel with the silent e. We will also be reviewing sight words and reading the story “Jabari Jumps”. For the writing journal, students will have free choice, meaning they can choose to write an opinion, persuasive, how-to, or fiction story. In math we will review counting by 10s, counting on from any number, and addition to 10. In science, students will learn about the ocean habitat. We will also be celebrating the Feast of St. Anthony (June 13th)!
Tomorrow parents will pick up items from the classroom. You may also use this time to drop off any items borrowed from the school, including iPads and chargers. Please be sure to come at your scheduled time and wear your masks. You will be picking up your child’s promotion cap and stole, personal items, and some craft supplies for upcoming projects.
Because I will be assisting parents with pick up/drop off, our small group meetings will not take place at their regular time. Instead, all groups can join at 2:15pm tomorrow. Please use our regular small group zoom link. We will be back to our regular small group schedule on Thursday.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Ms. Strohm
