Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,
We have successfully completed our first 2 weeks of school, and so far, the students have done great with the adjustment of coming back from summer! Students typically need some time to adapt to new teacher expectations and routines, but thus far, all of the teachers have reported that students are taking on the new responsibilities of the next grade level seriously, and we have high hopes for a very successful academic year. Yesterday, we celebrated Msgr. Sal Pilato’s birthday. We offer our prayers of thanksgiving up for a wonderful, pastoral leader for our school and we wish him many blessings and happy birthdays to come.
Please mark your calendars for Monday, September 7: Labor Day No School
Finally – a very warm welcome to ALL our new parents and students––especially those in our Kindergarten class! I look forward to many years of partnership as we provide for your child’s religious and academic education together.

ALLERGIES/EMERGENCY CARDS
If your child has any allergies or serious medical concerns, please be sure to notify our office as well as your child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible. Emergency cards and contact info must be current and updated in the office every trimester. WE NEED THE EMERGENCY CARDS RETURNED IMMEDIATELY. This is extremely important in order to make sure we have accurate and updated records for your child. If your child has a medical condition or has allergies, we need to know this up front and have a plan in case of an emergency. When we return to campus, any medication must be self-administered by the child or by you, and permission for us to administer medicine must be in writing. Families, please be on the lookout for a new link to a fillable PDF for the Emergency Cards. Thank you!
HANDBOOK AND IMPORTANT FORMS
Parents, please read the latest Parent Student Handbook online at our website to be up to date on our policies. Some rules and procedures have slightly changed, so please pay special attention to those changes. We have also sent out a COVID-19 addendum to the handbook and some distance learning guidelines in an email from our Secretary, Maria Grimaldo. Please read and fill out all paperwork sent home and return to the office immediately. 100% compliance is greatly appreciated.
PLC SERVICE HOURS (10 hours per family waived this year)
Again, a very special thank you to ALL who helped make this school look so beautiful over the summer. Some of you came to help Pablo and get ahead on your service hours. We have waived 10 of the 30 service hours this year to provide our school families some relief during this time. On Thursday, Nov 12, we will offer an optional ZOOM: Parent Retreat online with Msgr. Sal (earn up to 2 service hours). 6-8pm. Link will be sent at a later date.
