Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,
This Monday, 9/28, is a Student Free Day due to our Faculty retreat. Classes will resume on Tuesday, 9/29.
Next week is Parent-Teacher Conferences. If you haven’t already done so, please sign up with your teacher on Sign Up Genius. All parents must set up a meeting with teachers next week. We always aim to work with you in partnership to ensure that your child is met where they are, and that they are receiving the best possible education that St. Anthony’s can provide. If you ever have any concerns, please bring it up to your child’s teacher first, and if something needs more attention, I am happy to join the conversation as well, to resolve any issues. We are partners in education, but you as parents, are your child’s first teacher. We are here to help you in your goal to raise your children to be Followers of Jesus, Academically Prepared, Socially Aware, and totally healthy in mind, body and spirit. These are also our School-wide Learning Expectations, also known as our SLEs.
We will NOT have our annual Scholastic Book Fair in October, but we hope to bring it back sometime in the Spring. Please fill out any surveys we send home so we can begin to plan outdoor activities this year for our students, based on the comfort level of each family to be on campus and be socially distant from each other.
For our Fall Chocolate Fundraiser, your child’s name will be entered into a Weekly Wednesday “Trojan drawing” for every box sold above the minimum of 4 boxes. One more special VIRTUAL assembly will be held on Wednesday, 10/7. The more you sell over the 4-box minimum, the more chances your family has to win! Entries are entered once the 5th box is paid for. 1ST, 2ND and 3RD PLACE TOP WINNERS will earn gift cards of their choice in the following increments: $150, $100 and $75. REMINDER That all money needs to be submitted each Monday before the school office closes at 4pm to qualify for Trojan Drawing and prizes. Trojan Drawing #2 takes place on Wed 10/07, to be included in the drawing, Money is due Mon 10/5. A special VIRTUAL MAGIC SHOW accessible via email link will take place in October for all families that paid for all checked out chocolates by the FINAL PAYMENT DEADLINE of FRIDAY 10/5/2020. Families that have opted out and paid in full for their $500 fundraising can also attend the incentive magic show if they sell ANY number of boxes. Additional chocolate boxes can also be checked out by filling out a LOG SHEET for “Additional Boxes” located in the school office. NO paper forms will be issued. A parent/guardian signature is required. Thank you!

FAMILY INCOME SURVEY
Parents, please turn in your updated Family Income Survey Forms . All families are asked to complete this annually. We will be sending out fillable PDF forms. Please check your email so you can fill it out electronically this year. These numbers are important for us to be able to see our eligibility to receive federal and state programs and funds and grants from donors. Thank you in advance for your help!
MATCHING FUNDS
If any parents work at a company that offers matching funds to your child’s school (like Boeing, Wells Fargo, etc.) please do keep St. Anthony of Padua in mind to be beneficiaries of these matching programs which many companies offer. . Thank you for your kind consideration! Every little bit helps and we are so grateful for your help.
RALPH’S AND FOOD 4 LESS COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM
Just a reminder that our school is a member of the Community Rewards Programs for both Ralphs and Food 4 Less stores. For the Ralphs & the Food 4 Less Programs, you can opt in for the Community Rewards Program using your Ralphs or Food 4 Less Club Card, by following the directions to the email sent recently by Ms. Grimaldo. Please note that there is a different enrollment code for each of these stores. It is very important that you register the cards as soon as possible prior to the next time you use them, or the school will not receive benefits. Then please have the cashier scan the card or enter your ALT ID every time you make a purchase at Ralphs or Food 4 Less and we will receive a small percentage of each sale! We invite any parents or guardians who shop at Food 4 Less or Ralphs, even occasionally, to consider enrolling as this is an easy way to benefit the school without it costing you anything extra.
