AGENDA & ACTIVITIES:
Attached below is our weekly agenda. I made a daily schedule that students can follow during our STAR TESTING.
NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, 01/18, MLK
Wednesday, 01/20 Morning Assembly
St Anthony Of Padua’s link and password to join Kindness Adventure on Wednesday, Jan 20 from 8:30am – 9:15am! Make sure to log in 5 minutes early so we can get started on time. Please check the band/email post for the link and password.
STAR TESTING
Our STAR testing will start on January.19th-22nd. Students will be tested individually. Please take note of your child’s scheduled time of testing and Zoom ID and password. Please see the attachment below. Some students will be testing on Mrs. Ray’s Zoom account. Please make sure to log in on zoom on the exact given time. If we have some delay, we will message you right away.
Before testing:
Please make sure your child had enough sleep, healthy breakfast and used the restroom before joining. The device must be charged. Student should be in a quiet room without any distractions (siblings, tv, music, kitchen noise, etc) and MUST have his/her headphones on.
During testing:
Parents are NOT allowed to coach/teach their child. Mics will be turned on only by the teacher and will stay on for the whole testing time. This test will assess what your child knows from 1st trimester.
ACTIVITIES:
Attached below is a schedule and activities to do everyday for this week. Please make sure that your child does all the activities that are assigned on that day. The activities on Seesaw, Freckle, ST MATH will be graded daily along with the all the assigned worksheets.
Worksheets activities must be posted on SEESAW before 6pm of the scheduled day. Worksheets are inside the folder/envelope that you picked up today.
ATTENDANCE
Students will log in on zoom at 8:30am for check in or attendance then I will release them for independent work or STAR testing.
SEESAW
Activities will be checked daily. Please make sure your child reads and follows the directions carefully. If the activity requires them to read and record, please make sure your child reads clearly. All Seesaw activities will be posted on the exact time given on the daily agenda. Activities must be done on the assigned day, and it will be checked and recorded by the teacher daily.
SUBMITTING ACTIVITIES
I will not accepting work if they don’t follow directions. Most of our Seesaw activities requires reading and recording.
Submitting late work will reflect on their grade especially work habits grade.
HOMEWORK
No sight word and Raz-kids homework for this week. Students may start working on their 100th day school project that is due on Feb. 4th. (Instructions was sent out today with the pick-ups)

PARENT’S ROLE (HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT YOUR CHILD AT HOME?)
1. Ensure your child is ready for the day and can access Zoom.
2. Support your child in having a learning space free of distractions.
3. Provide support and document struggles
4. Communicate with the teacher about successes and struggles.
HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT YOUR CHILD AT HOME BEFORE/ DURING ASSESSMENTS?
1. Remind your child to complete the assessment independently and to do his/her best.
2. Remind your child that the purpose of assessment is to show the teacher what they have learned.
3. Give your child time and space to complete the assessment.
4. Allow him/her to wrestle with problems
5. Don’t intervene unless he/she has a question
6. If your child has a question, provide clarity on the task without giving him/her the answer.
7. Review the directions
8. Ask him/her to reread the question
9. Ask him/her to rephrase the task/question in his/her own words
10. Be sure that your tone and facial expressions are neutral
11. Remind your child it’s okay to make a mistake. Mistakes are valuable information for teachers.
