TTS-Teaching Touching Safety K-2, after morning assembly, 2/10
On Wednesday, Feb 10, The K-2 classes will have a TTS lessons which will be led by Mrs. Gomez. Please make sure your child stays on Mrs. Grey’s zoom after our morning assembly. There will be no make-up days if they miss the lesson.
First Grade Valentines Party, 2/12
To celebrate Valentine’s, we are organizing a Slime Valentines party for our firsties on Friday at 10:30-12:00. Please RSVP on the event posted here on Seesaw by Tuesday, 2/9, if your child is attending. Students may wear red shirt and jeans. They will need to bring their own snack and drink.
Parents and siblings are not allowed to join due to safety precautions. We are only allowed to have a specific # of students and staff in the campus. Before arriving to school, you are REQUIRED to answer our health screening questions.

Please enter Berendo gate. Before you drop off your child, we’ll take their temperature in your car. Students MUST wear their face mask at all times and will be reminded to practice social distancing. Parents will be notified once the party is done and when students are ready to be picked up.
If your child has any of the following symptoms, they may just join the party through zoom.
1. New or worsening COUGH
2. Colds/ Sneezing
3. Sore throat
4. Vomiting
5. Headaches / Body aches
6. Difficulty breathing
7. Fever/ High Temperature
8. Loss of smell/ taste
We would like to ask for some donations of the materials that we will need for slime making.
1. washable school glue, such as Elmer’s
2. liquid food coloring
3. glitter
4. baking soda
5. saline solution (i.e., contact lens solution) Renu fresh or Equate brand. Do not substitute with other brands.
6. Plastic Bowls
7. Spoons

First Grade Cultural Diversity Project
Our First graders are avid learners of all things, including the cultures of people around the world. To celebrate each of our student’s culture, we will be doing our cultural diversity project.
REPORT DUE: March 4th on Seesaw, March 5th Drop off at school
Directions: With help from a parent, students will:
1. Complete the attached report sheet. (where the family’s from, language spoken, draw and color the national dish, flag and the traditional clothing)
2. Using the stencil, cut out and dress up your puppet with the traditional clothing of your culture.
3. Post a picture of your project (back to back) AND a video of yourself telling us about your project on Seesaw on or before March 4th. We will be showing all the videos during class. 4. Drop off the project on March 5th, kindly make sure it has your child’s name. 5th. Please make sure it has your child’s name.
