Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you all had a restful weekend, celebrating Ascension Sunday. Last week’s May Crowning and Mary-thon was simply beautiful. I can feel the Holy Spirit moving in our school, and I know the Holy Family was pleased with our school’s Marian Consecration for the second year in a row. We look forward to next weekend when we celebrate the Church’s birthday, and Pentecost Sunday, remembering when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles in the Upper Room. We ask the Holy Spirit to be with us, the present day disciples, as we go forth and spread Jesus’s Good News to others.
May 26 is our New Parent Orientation for new and Kindergarten families entering the school next Fall. Vicki Marsha will have uniforms available online and they will be back on campus on August 6 and September 8. Please see Mr. Aguilar to purchase Vicki Marsha Scrip. The last day to buy Scrip for this year is Monday, May 17, before we close out all accounts. Please contact Mr. Aguilar if you have any questions about Scrip.
As stated in our parent meeting, we wish Mr. Perry and Mrs. Islas the best as they pursue other career opportunities next year. Last week, we also announced that Mrs. Doughty, our Kindergarten aide will not be returning in the Fall. We will miss her greatly and send her off with our love and best wishes. We thank them all for their service to our school. Please continue to pray for Ms. Maria Grimaldo, our School Secretary, who has been out on medical leave for the past few months.
For planning purposes, May 26 is our New Parent Orientation for families entering the school. Our first day of school in the fall is August 18.
We pray for our 8th graders who go on retreat today. They will be at Santiago Retreat Center for the day, doing a Stations of the Cross hike, seeing the Shroud of Turin presentation, doing some bonding activities, and ending their day with Confession and Adoration. It’s a big transition to leave our school and move on to the next chapter in their lives as high school students, but we ask the Holy Spirit to guide them and give them strength and wisdom for the journey. We keep their teachers and priests in our prayers as well and ask Jesus to bless their retreat. Thank you so much!
Mrs. Grey, Principal

SERVICE HOURS
Each family must have either served 30 Service hours this year or pay out ($10/hr). Any hours that have not been served will be invoiced. You have the option to roll it into FACTS for the remainder of the year. Thanks to all who have already finished serving their family service hours for the year or who have paid in advance. We encourage you to meet the obligation for fundraising by purchasing Scrip online or paying it outright. Some great Scrip suggestions: Amazon, restaurants in the area with food delivery, or drive-through service in the area such as Starbucks, Taco Bell, Carl’s Jr, Panda Express, and gas cards from Sam’s Club, Vons/Albertson’s, Shell or 76. If you want to make a donation to the school to earn your service hours, we are in need of gift cards, specifically from Home Depot, Office Depot, Sam’s Club/Walmart, or Target for supplies (you will earn 1 service hour for every $10 donated. Thank you!
