Dear First Grade Families,
I hope everyone is having a fun and restful weekend with your family. Here are all the information that you and your child will need for this week, 8/23-8/27. Please make sure to read all important information to avoid questions that are clearly stated on all emails/agenda/reminders. I would greatly appreciate it!
Pick up/ Drop off
Please do not drop students off before 7:30am. Teachers on morning duty will be out at 7:30am to supervise. K-1 families CANNOT park during carline it causes major traffic and slows down the 2-8 pick up/drop off. Please park in the small lot and use the crosswalk to walk to the classrooms and drop off your children. Once again, first grade families CANNOT park in the carline and pick up your child. The front gate in 161st will be open for families with K-1 students. Students MUST sit on our blue bench outside our classroom while waiting for the bell, no running or playing. After dropping off your child in the morning, we ask all parents/ families to please leave the campus, avoid lingering.
Health screening questions
K-8 Health screening MUST be done at home every day by parents, before bringing their child to school. Parents are to submit the screening daily to the school, and take their child’s temperature at home before coming to school. One form per family. The link and QR code will be provided by the school. A link for the Health Screening Questions is below: Health screening questions. Please do not bring sick children to school or they will be sent home immediately.
iPad/ Tablets Accounts
I have set up some of the students Seesaw accounts and connect their devices to our school Wi-Fi. Last Friday, some students didn’t have their devices or no apps were downloaded, please make sure to bring your child’s iPad next week and they must bring it to school every day.All devices must be 100% charged and all apps must be downloaded. Kindly make sure to download all our apps by Monday. Below is the list of apps that we will use in class.
I have also noticed that some students have devices that are connected to their parents’ emails or other social media accounts. Kindly turn it off or put it in a folder with a password so students can’t access it while in school. Personal games must also be in a folder that students can’t access while in school.
Please show your child where they can access or navigate all our school apps independently.
Apps List (must be downloaded on the device)
- Zoom (just in case)
- Seesaw
- ST MATH (not an app, must be pinned on your child’s browser, play.stmath.com)
- Raz-kids (for classwork & homework)
- Freckle by Renaissance (it would be helpful to google the app and download it from the browser)

*Message/Facetime/calls/emails/social media accounts must be disables/turned off!
