Dear first grade families,
Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a blessed weekend with their families. Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week. I ask that you please read all of the information I post or email along with all of the attachments. I am being asked questions that are covered in detail by the e-mail and posts that I have put out. Once again, please check and read all of the attachments below.
HOMEWORK
Please see our back-to-school-night slides for more info or homework examples. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JoGaVM3Lrl5ZgaMdrC4suYLtu3BI8f3N/view?usp=sharing
Their daily homework includes Math, Sight Words and Reading.
Math pages are due every day. We will use the Standard’s Practice book as our homework for Math. I will assign the pages every week. Students will rip the assigned pages; they must write their name and place in blue homework folder. Since we haven’t received our math books from the publisher, we will provide all the copies for this week.
Sight Word activities are due every Thursdays. Students must practice it daily. 1 activity per day. Please make sure of our monthly menu. Students must post all 4 activities on Seesaw, 1 thread with dates on each activity. Pictures/ videos are accepted. If they will do all handwritten activities, using front and back pages of their notebooks will help students utilize all the space in their notebooks!
Reading- Raz-kids, must be completed every Thursdays. Students must listen, read, record and quiz 2 books per week. But I highly encourage practicing daily to enhance their reading skills.
Parents must sign their child’s weekly homework list and behavior chart everyday. This will be part of their grade. Parents must make sure that they check and sign this daily.
