Good Afternoon Kindergarten Families,
This week we are hard at work. We continue our alphabet with letters N-R and are working toward mastering the sight words like, I, see, and. In Math we are focusing on showing ways to make 5, ordering numbers to 5 and will have our first chapter test on Friday. In reading we are focusing on identifying characters and setting. Today we began adding labels (letters or words) to our drawings. We are working on the Sign of the Cross as well.
As a reminder, the week of 10/4-10/7 will be noon dismissal due to parent teacher conferences. Please be sure to sign up and indicate if you would like to meet in person or via Zoom. The parent-teacher conference sign up can be found here.
Today was our first on campus COVID testing of the year. Thank you to those who signed up. We ask that you click on the link below each Thursday to register (for the following Monday), and also put the code “1890” in the drop down box for our school code for Entity/Organization Name, not St. Anthony of Padua.
Here is the new registration link:

When students and staff are registering for the test, they must indicate the account number (1890) in the “entity or organization name” field.
If you do not do this, you may not get a confirmation email for your child and they may not appear on the list.
Lastly, during dismissal we had a few students walking to the door before being called by me. In order to ensure our students’ safety, parents are asked to join the line outside the door and wait for me to call your child’s name. Please do not peek in the classroom to call your child. I also ask that we keep the doorway clear and hold any questions for me until after dismissal. I appreciate your cooperation and patience during dismissal.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you,
Ms. Strohm
