Tribes Agreement:
We will continue to review our Tribes Agreements as we work our way through our school year. Please continue to encourage your children to follow these agreements even at home! The Tribes Agreements are:
- Mutual Respect
- Attentive Listening
- Appreciations/No Putdowns
- Right to Pass
- Personal Best
SELF-DIRECTED LEARNERS
Self-Directed Learning is a one of the systems of support that we practice in our school. Self-directed learners take responsibility for their own learning. As parents and teachers, we empower and support children as they learn the skills to allow them to learn anything such as how to:
- Set Goals
- Make Plans
- Ask questions
- Complete work on time
- Work Independently
- Complete task without being asked
Our firsties are aware and familiar with this process. You might want to implement these at home too! I believe that it’s a useful method that we can use to increase ownership and responsibility in our firsties, and support them in creating their own learning path.
