BEHAVIOR
It was brought to my attention that some of our students were not following our TRIBES’ AGREEMENT. Please remind your child to ‘think before they speak’ and ‘keep hands to themselves’. It is inappropriate to call someone names, so we need to stop this by reminding our students to use kind words to each other. Respect personal bubble, I have and our parent volunteers seen some students touching each other.
Have them rethink/reflect the choice of words and actions they have done in the past weeks and how they can be better starting this week.
CITIZENSHIP and HONORS
Our 1st trimester awards assembly is on Friday, November 19, after our 8am Mass. I will send an email this week for our awardees.
** First Honors – As in all subjects including Music, PE, and Handwriting
** Second Honors – As and Bs all subjects including Music, PE, and Handwriting
** Citizenship – Both As in Behavior and Work Habits. Students’ daily behavior, participation, attendance, and work habits are IMPORTANT factors to receiving an award.
SECOND TRIMESTER BEGINS
Our third graders did an awesome transition from distance learning last year to in-person instruction. It was definitely tough but they did it! Lots of practice and reminders. In order for our students to grow and prepare for the next grade-level below are additional expectations in the second trimester.
— Start to write all in cursive in December.
— Write first and last name; the date in all assigned tasks.
— Memorize the Multiplication Facts 0 – 12.
— ST Math should be at 77% progress on/before March 4
— AR Goal should be at 100% on/before March 4. Read books independently and based on ZPD level.
— Follow rules/expectations/routines set in the 1st trimester. (Work Habits)
— Follow the TRIBES’ AGREEMENT inside and outside the classroom without being reminded.
— BE A SELF-DIRECTED LEARNER
— Navigate Google Classroom on their own.
— Turn in ALL assigned homework Friday mornings.
