Good Afternoon Kinder Families,
I hope you all are doing well after the long weekend. As a reminder, kinder students should wear their PE uniform tomorrow.
Please note next week there is no school on Wednesday-Friday. Tuesday 11/23 is a noon dismissal day. We will be celebrating “Friends-Giving” on Monday 11/22. Please keep an eye out for more details.
This week we are focusing on the letter N and sight words what, are, now. In math we are working to model and draw addition. We will also be studying the Holy Family. We are reading books with Thanksgiving themes as well.
Today marks the first day of the second trimester. The students got new seats on the carpet and at the tables today. The students were so excited to mix things up!
This Friday is the first trimester award ceremony in the church following the 8:00 am Mass. Kindergarten students can earn the citizenship award by earning an outstanding grade in work habits and behavior. I will send an email notifying you if your child will receive this award. Parents are welcome to attend.
Per our handbook, nail polish is not allowed as part of the dress code. If your child paints their nails on the weekend, please be sure it is removed before coming to school. Uniform infractions will be issued and impact your child’s work habits grade.
As a reminder, kindergarten students must be picked up from the classroom. We do not dismiss through the carline for your child’s safety. Please do not enter the carline if you are picking up a kinder student. This causes a back up in the line for the other classes.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Ms. Strohm
