Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,
We hope you enjoyed the 4-day weekend with your families. Sr. Clara from the Poor Clare Sisters visited our students last Monday for National Vocation Awareness Week. She was just lovely and she enjoyed talking to our students about the joy of being called by God in a very special way. She thanked me for the opportunity and said visiting our school was like walking on holy ground. She feels many vocations will come out of St. Anthony. I was touched by her kind words! Our children made an excellent impression!
This week we will be sending tickets home for our Cash Raffle Fundraiser. Tickets will be sold between now and Friday, December 10, when all monies are due. Our drawing will take place after the annual Christmas Prayer Service on Wednesday, 12/15 at 6pm on campus. Call time is 5:30pm for students. Tastyblock will be on campus from 3-6pm that day. We encourage you to sell tickets at $1 apiece to family and friends during the Thanksgiving break to give them a chance to win the Grand Prize of $2000!
This Friday, 11/19 is our 1st Trimester Mass and Awards Ceremony. We look forward to seeing you at Mass that morning at 8am and celebrating your children’s accomplishments!.
Pacific Toxicology has informed me that they would be cancelling all future weekly testing as our school does not have enough people for onsite collections. Mrs. Jessica Garcia, however, has requested that we keep two future COVID-testing dates on the calendar: December 6th and December 13th. We are looking to revive our former school choir for a few Christmas performances. We currently have about 45 people who will need to get tested Dec. 6th for one of their performances on the 8th. The following week we have our Christmas Show on campus and are recommending that ALL students get tested. Please note this and plan accordingly. Families will need to sign up the Thursday before the testing date for Pacific Toxicology testing. This on-campus service is done for your convenience, but you can also get your child tested off campus or at your own medical provider. The YMCA also offers free testing.
Tonight, 11/15, is the ADLA Fingerprinting session at our parish by appointment only. Thank you for getting clearance to become parent volunteers. I look forward to welcoming more parents on campus and helping with our various PLCs.
Mrs. Grey, Principal

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to the school. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $10/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. Parents who volunteer on Saturdays (every 2-3 weeks) can earn service hours cleaning our school with the Interior Maintenance PLC. Please join the group! Please see the email blast that was sent out re: the dates when the Interior Maintenance PLC will meet. Thanks in advance! The next dates are Saturday, 12/4 and 1/8 from 12:30-3:30pm at the school.
SCRIP
One easy way to help you reach your $500 financial commitment is to purchase Scrip throughout the year. We accept credit cards in the office for your orders making it easier than ever! It’s basically buying gift cards to purchase things like groceries, gas, gifts, or things you need and want on a daily basis, but you can get fundraising credit for a portion of every gift card you buy! Work smarter, not harder! We have Scrip for Starbucks, Vons, Albertsons, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Gardena Supermarket, and so much more! The Student Government is doing a service project to Adopt a Family in Need. Please purchase Scrip and donate it to this cause. More info to come from our Student Government!
KINDERGARTEN EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION IN DECEMBER
Starting December 1, we will be offering EARLY BIRD applications to St. Anthony Day Nursery Families and siblings of current SAP School families for incoming Kinder students for the 2022-2023 SY! Open Enrollment for other families begins 3/1/22. Please spread the word!
EFG DECEMBER 1-30, 2021
Our school has been asked to do another fundraiser during the month of December for Express Feedback for Good! We can earn up to $25,000 from HundredX in one short month! Last year we earned $50,000, and this money was used to buy air purifiers for all classrooms and touchless water bottle fillers, which are now installed throughout our school. More info on this exciting opportunity is forthcoming. We won’t need to ask anyone for MONEY for this fundraiser, only for TIME. Thank you for your continued support of SAP! Mark your calendars for 12/15 from 3-5:30pm. We would like to open up our Hall for a holiday Feedback party for families to work on their brand opinions for EFG. Every 1 minute survey could earn our school $2! Students must be at school by 5:30pm for the Christmas show. Tastyblock will also be on campus from 3-6pm, so plan accordingly with your family.
