Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you had a great weekend with your families. As we continue with our 2nd week of Advent, we also celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, 12/8. The Junior High will have their NET Retreat that day, and our choir will be performing at St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy’s Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6pm. Please join us this Wed, 12/8 and Friday 12/10 for our All-School Masses at 8am in the church. Students will receive Scapulars from Msgr. Sal on Friday 12/10.
Over the weekend, we will celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, 12/12! Our Christmas Program will be held on Wednesday, 12/15, from 6-8pm on campus. Tastyblock will be on campus from 3-6pm and we will be having our EFG Holiday Feedback Party in the Hall from 3pm-5:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there! Please remember to follow all safety protocols and stay home if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. We invite you to dress up in Christmas attire, and have your children wear Christmas Red to keep our tradition alive! Mrs. Garcia will send home more information.
The Cash Raffle drawing is also next week, Wednesday, 12/15, after the Christmas program, which starts at 6pm. Please continue to sell your raffle tickets between now and This Friday, December 10, when monies are due for this fundraiser. You can schedule a time to drop off your sold tickets (stubs) in the office to qualify for the drawing. Our last day of school is Thursday, 12/16 (noon dismissal and NO DAYCARE), and school will resume on January 10.
Our EFG Fundraiser started on 12/1/21 and it goes through 12/30/21. Although it’s a busy time, we ask that you please try to do 75 brand opinion surveys per adult. That will earn our school up to $150 for each Superstar! Our goal is to raise $25,000 so we can buy school bleachers, an electronic scoreboard, and maybe even a playground awning! If we reach our goal, the whole school will have a pizza and ice cream party! Thank you for all your support!
Saturday, January 15 from 8am-4pm, is our Kindergarten Round-Up (in-person interviews and ESGI testing) for new Kinder students from St. Anthony’s preschool and siblings of current SAP students. All other general applicants must wait until March 1, 2022 to be considered. Turn in your paperwork and $50 application fee early to avoid disappointment. If accepted, you will secure your child’s seat in the 2022-2023 Kindergarten class by the end of February 2022! Early bird registration is 12/10. If you register early, you will pay only $25 for the application fee.
Finally, if you wish for your 3rd-8th grade child to receive the sacraments of First Communion and Reconciliation this year, we need your child’s baptismal certificate in the office no later than December 10 by noon.

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to the school. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $10/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. Parents who volunteer on Saturdays (every 2-3 weeks) can earn service hours cleaning our school with the Interior Maintenance PLC. Please join the group! Please see the email blast that was sent out re: the dates when the Interior Maintenance PLC will meet. Thanks in advance! The next date is 1/8 from 12:30-3:30pm at the school.
TEACHING TOUCHING SAFETY (TTS) FORMS DUE by 12/10
We are very happy each year to conduct the “Teaching Touching Safety” Classes to our students. This is a course that we teach by mid-February each year, and it covers an age-appropriate curriculum to bring awareness to students regarding issues of sexual abuse and dangers. It teaches them the lines of “appropriateness” within particular contexts and how to avoid and respond to possible situations that could endanger them. *PERMISSIONS SLIPS WERE SENT HOME LAST WEEK AND MUST BE RETURNED BY FRIDAY, December 10 so lessons can start in January after the break.. Thanks in advance!
EFG DECEMBER 1-30, 2021
Our school has been asked to do another HundredX fundraiser during the month of December for Express Feedback for Good (EFG)! We can earn up to $25,000 from HundredX in one short month! We won’t need to ask anyone for MONEY for this fundraiser, only for TIME. Thank you for your continued support of SAP! Mark your calendars for 12/15 from 3-5:30pm. We would like to open up our Hall for a holiday Feedback party for families to work on their brand opinions for EFG. Every 1 minute survey could earn our school $2! Students must be at school by 5:30pm for the Christmas show. Tastyblock will also be on campus from 3-6pm pm 12/15, so plan accordingly with your family.
