Good morning First Grade families,
Hope everyone is well! Hope you all had fun and safe weekend with your family. Please read all the information that you and your child will need for the week of 01/17 – 01/21. This week, we will follow our regular schedule, we will not use Zoom or Hybrid schedule. Please make sure to read all the reminders to avoid questions that are clearly stated on this email.
Weekly Covid Test
Parents, I would recommend reading Mrs. Grey’s email blast regarding the updates for the COVID testing.
If unvaccinated, you must show a negative test result TODAY, MONDAY before returning to campus. Home test results are ok.
If negative and asymptomatic, your child may come to school on Tuesday, test on campus, and stay in school the whole day.
If unvaccinated, your child should test this weekend and produce a negative result to your child’s teacher by Monday to drop off your child at school on Tuesday.
If you can’t test till Tuesday 1/18, come to campus on Tuesday to test only if asymptomatic and not exposed, regardless of vaccination status. You may be sent home after testing to have your child learn asynchronously.
We require testing weekly, and all parents must provide a negative test result to their child’s teacher every week.
Mask
This month we are taking greater precautions like wearing a surgical mask/double mask or N95 Mask to protect us and others from all viral sickness. We are wearing masks indoors at all times, and outdoors when social distancing is not possible. We don’t need to wear masks outside when actively eating or drinking.
Daycare
Daycare services are suspended till Feb. When we return in February, we will limit the number of kids who can be in daycare when we reopen. We will give priority to those who have no alternative daycare options. Mrs. Pattie Padilla will reach out first to those families who are “regulars” in after school care, needing 4-5 days a week of care. Likely, we will limit daycare to 12 children per adult, and we will try our best to keep families and grade levels together to avoid commingling.
