Good morning First Grade Families,
Praying that everyone is doing well! Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week, 1/31-1/4. I ask everyone to please read all the reminders to avoid questions that are clearly stated on this email
COVID Testing
For next week, we are making testing “optional” to test weekly for students and staff. This was the last week of required testing for all students and staff to arrive and stay on campus for the week. Those students and staff who are fully vaccinated and boosted (if eligible) do not need to test weekly. Those who have had Omicron (Covid in the last 90 days) also do not have to test weekly. This may change in the future, if cases rise again, but for now we are easing up on the required weekly testing. For those who are “unvaccinated,” weekly testing will be optional. It is highly recommended to test twice a week for the unvaccinated. We will ask Mrs. Nakayama to offer testing at least once a week on campus, preferably every Saturday morning, so it doesn’t disrupt the school day, as it did in past weeks.

Morning Drop Off
As a friendly reminder, school begins at 7:50am each morning, students must be in line at 7:50am. Students who arrive after 7:50am are considered tardy. Please allow enough time in the morning for your child to hang their backpack and turn in their folder.
Students may sit on the blue bench or wait on their spot in line. Students should not run around in the morning.
Masks
This month we are taking greater precautions like wearing a surgical mask/double mask or N95 Mask to protect us and others from all viral sickness. We are wearing masks indoors at all times, and outdoors when social distancing is not possible. We don’t need to wear masks outside when actively eating or drinking. Please be sure your child has a few extra masks in their backpack.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. God bless!
Warmly,
Ms. Martinez
