This weekend we had to cancel our Kindergarten Round Up and our 2nd grade retreat at the last minute, due to the Southern CA Edison Power Outage. We will reschedule both events. The new date for the Kinder Round Up is March 12. Ms. Gomez will inform the parents of the new date of the retreat in the Hall.
Thank you all for joining our 2nd General Parent meeting last week. I appreciated all of your positive attitudes and active participation. This is OUR school and the amount of work we put in directly affects our children. I am THRILLED that we have collectively met our $35,000 goal for the Express Feedback for Good campaign in December. That is outstanding! Our All School Pizza and Ice Cream Party will be on Friday, 2/25. All students may have a Free Dress Day for participating. The slideshow presentation is posted on our website and was emailed to you all.
Please think about which PLCs you want to join next year when you re-register. If you want to be a lead, please email me. The leads may reach out to committee members, but it is each parents’ responsibility to respond so you can earn your 30 service hours. Throughout the year, we always send emails re: other opportunities to earn hours by volunteering or donating gift cards for school needs. If you choose this route, please buy Scrip through the school and donate the gift cards so you can earn double credit. Our last parent meeting is May 4 at 6:30pm. You must attend the entire meeting to get credit. Re-Registration begins on 2/22-2/25 for next school year. This will all be done online! Current families can re-register during the week for returning students (all online) $150 per student, after this week, it’s $175 re-registration fee. Open Enrollment to the public begins on March 1. If you have a registration hold, your teacher or Mr. Aguilar will notify you.
Wednesday 3/2 is Ash Wednesday, which is the beginning of Lent. See you at our All-School Mass that day. Remember, it is a day of fasting and abstinence. Finally, don’t forget to pre-order your hardcover yearbook for $30 before the price goes up to $40 on 2/26.

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS THROUGH INTERIOR MAINTENANCE
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment 10 per trimester (30 for the year), our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to SAP. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart/Sam’s Club, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $10/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. (Next year our service hours will be worth $15/hr. to keep up with the minimum wage.) Parents who volunteer on Saturdays can earn service hours cleaning our school with the Interior Maintenance PLC. Please join the group. Thanks in advance! The next few Saturdays are February 19, March 12, March 26, April 2, April 9, May 7 and May 21.

Mark your calendars for Feb 22-25: Current families can re-register for returning students (all online) $150 per student, after that week, it’s a $175 re-registration fee. All registration forms can be filled out and uploaded online! New Kindergarten Registration is now happening for preschool students and siblings of current students. Those who are in breach of any signed contracts or agreements with the school may be placed on a registration hold. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
