Word Study (r-controlled sounds)
Study words like horse, fortune, dark, story, partner, north, March, storm, market, acorn, artists, barking, stork, forest, thorn, chore, mark, restore.
Target Vocabulary (Test on March 4)
Complete daily practice. Upload all completed work in Google Classroom Thursdays on/before 7pm
** (Monday) Arrange the words in ABC order. Cursive twice (red notebook)
** (Tuesday) Write a sentence for each vocabulary word in cursive. (red notebook)
** (Wednesday) Use different colors to write your vocabulary words twice (red notebook)
** (Thursday) Video record with eyes closed. Spell words out loud.

Field Trip (March 14)
K & 3 are going to Aquarium of the Pacific on March 14. Permission slips will be given to your child on Monday and must return by Thursday, March 10.
** $15 fee will be collected for this trip. It covers our bus and entrance fee to the aquarium. Please send payments directly to the school office.
** Must wear school uniform.
** Must bring snacks, lunch, and water
My Lenten Journey 2022
Students were given Lenten Packet to be completed daily for 40 days. Each good deed completed your child needs to write a reflection. A corresponding colored bead will be placed on their string. Colored beads are placed on our classroom altar. Attached below is the packet.
Examples:
Day 1: I pray an extra prayer for the people in Ukraine to be safe.
Reflection: When I prayed for the people of Ukraine, it felt like I am sending help to them through Jesus.
Day 2: I helped a second grader with her homework.
Reflection: The second grader was so happy when I helped her and I am too. I know Jesus wants me to be a like him.
GradeLink
* Test corrections and late assignments were all updated on GradeLink. An extra credit work was completed for Social Studies and added as well.
* Assignments and assessments completed the week of 02/28 – 03/04 are not included. It will be added for the third trimester grade.
Lastly, I am having issues receiving emails. If you sent me an email and did not respond to you within 24hrs, please send a follow up email or note with your child. Some emails that were sent last week was not received til this week.
