Dear Kindergarten Families,
Welcome to St. Anthony of Padua (SAP) and the 2022-2023 school year! I hope you are enjoying the summer.
My name is Mrs. Kelli McCabe, your child’s Kindergarten teacher. I look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children achieve their highest potential.
Meet and Greet: September 2nd
Friday, September 2nd is the Kindergarten Meet and Greet at the school. This will be an opportunity to say hello, meet our Kindergarten aide, Mrs. Claros, see the new classroom, and drop off school supplies. Parents and students are encouraged to attend.
Eight families will be able to attend at a time. At this time, masks are not required but recommended. Sign up for your preferred 30 minute window here for Meet and Greet time slot.
Kindergarten Reminders
For your convenience, the supply list and summer assignment are available on my Kindergarten Blog under Quick Links. The summer assignment is due on the first day of school.
The first day of school for Kindergarten is Tuesday, September 6th. For the first two weeks, Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 12:00 pm. Students should bring a snack and water bottle.
During the first week of school students may wear free dress or their school uniform. Closed toed shoes are required.
Before school begins, please take the time to introduce the classroom sign language to your child. You can find it here. Additionally, practicing using the restroom, washing hands, and opening snack containers independently will help your child have a smooth transition to Kindergarten.
I look forward to our phone call and meeting everyone on September 2nd. If you have any questions, please send me an email.
Blessings,
Mrs. McCabe
