Dear Fifth Grade Families,
I pray and hope you are all doing well. This email is to formally welcome you and your child to School Year 2022-2023!
As parents, you have the greatest influence over the lives of your child. Students will be working together to form compassionate community of learners who exemplify Jesus Christ’s teachings. Additionally. we will have many fun and enriching classroom activities and projects. I sincerely look forward to forging partnerships with you, dear parents, in order to best serve our students.
Please take note of the following reminders for this week and also for the first day of school on Monday, August 29, 2022. I ask that you please read all of the information I post or email along with all of the attachments/ links.
FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL (NOON DISMISSAL, FREE DRESS, DAYCARE from 12-6pm)
On the first week of school, Aug. 29-Sept 2nd, Students will be wearing FREE DRESS, noon dismissal.
Friday, 9/2 First School Mass (Students wear their formal Mass uniforms or Sunday best)
Students may arrive as early as7:30am and will be marked tardy after 7:50am.
Know that for security purposes, ALL Gates will be closed at 8am daily, after the 7:50 tardy bell rings. We will secure the campus at that time.
Drop-Off
Students will have to wait by the blue benches under the tent. Students should not play nor run around in the morning. Do not send your child in the classroom. I will meet them downstairs.
Pick-Up
Our class will be right in front of Room 8 (Daycare).
Negative Covid Test by 08/29
I/We highly recommend for students to provide a negative test result prior to our first day of school.
– PCR Test must be taken Aug. 27; OR
– Home Test Kit Aug. 28
Either test will be accepted. Kindly upload the result on Google Classroom after receiving the result.
Community Supplies Drop-Off (08/25-08/26 from 9AM to 2PM ONLY)
Bins will be put outside for each item. After dropping off items, please check off your child’s name from the list.
First Holy Communion
If you wish for your child to receive the Sacrament, kindly send Mrs. Gomez (agomez@stanthonygardena.org) and/or I an email.

* Aug. 25 – 26 – Community Supplies Drop-off (9AM – 2PM Only)
* Aug. 29 – First Day of School (Noon Dismissal)
* Aug. 29 – Sept. 2 – Noon Dismissal / Free Dress
* Sept. 5 – Labor Day (No School)
