Good morning 7th Grade Families,
We are super excited. God is good. All the time. We have brand new classrooms and a new soccer field as well. It looks quite amazing!
Here are a few updates with regard to being ready for the first week of school.
It is “highly recommended” that your child submit a negative COVID test to the classroom teacher. Please take the test August 27th (PCR) or August 28th (at home test). Please note: providing a negative test is not required. Free home test kits are available at school if needed. If your child has symptoms or has been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID, please keep them home on the first day of school.
As for classroom supplies, you may send them with your child on the first day of school. These classroom supplies include white copy paper, a tissue box, Clorox wipes, hand wipes, and “emergency kit” labeled with your child’s name and grade (water bottles and snacks). Please see the 7th Grade Supply List for a complete list of supplies your child will need.
Please have your child bring his/her summer packet and Handwriting book on the first day of school, Monday, August 29. ELA, religion and history assignments are collected and counted as the first grades of the 1st trimester. Math and Science will be collected on September 5th. This will need to be submitted on Google Classroom. Please also have your child bring his/her fully charged Chromebook to school on the first day as well.
Note that we have 12noon dismissal and Free Dress from August 29-September 2. Regular 3pm dismissal will resume on Tuesday, September 6.
Our revised Junior High Block Schedule that includes Daily Mass throughout the week. Starting Tuesday, September 6, the students need to be dressed in their school uniforms: MONDAY/WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY – Regular uniform (polo shirt and bottoms), TUESDAY – PE uniform (shirt and shorts), FRIDAY – Formal Mass uniform (white dress shirt, tie, sweater vest and pants for boys, cardigan sweater and skirt for girls).
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to seeing you all next week! Thank you and God bless!
In Christ,
Sr. Tho
