Dear First Grade Families,
I hope everyone is having a fun and restful long weekend with your family. Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week, 9/5-9/9. Please make sure to read all important information to avoid questions that are clearly stated on all emails/ reminders. I would greatly appreciate it!
Sept 5th– Labor Day, NO SCHOOL
COVID Tests
Since we have 4 confirmed positive cases in our class last week, I REQUIRE everyone to send me a COVID test result by tomorrow, Monday. If your child is sick and showing any symptoms, please keep them home.
Schedule
Starting Tuesday, September 6th, we will have our full-day schedule 7:50 AM -3:00 PM. Please see the attachment below for our first-grade block schedule.
Homework folder
Every day, students will be bringing home their blue homework folder. If you haven’t signed and turned in some of the important documents that parents must fill up and sign that were due last week. Please return these documents by Tuesday, Sept 6th.
All students are expected to return their blue homework folder to school every day. A bin will be placed outside the 1st grade classroom every morning for these folders. It should be placed in number order. This should be done as soon as they hang up their backpacks. Please help me encourage our first graders to be independent, they should be able to hang their own back packs & put the homework folders in the bin by themselves. This will be part of our first grade morning routine.
I might start assigning homework to our students by next week. I will send more details next week.
Temporary roster
Please always double check our roster posted outside our classroom when you drop off your child in the morning. Our first-grade class is still growing and we haven’t finalized our roster. Their class number will still change. I will let everyone know once it is finalized.
