Dear Junior High Families,
I hope you enjoyed the 3-day weekend! Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week, 9/5-9/9. Please make sure to read all important information to avoid questions that are clearly stated in all emails/ reminders. We would greatly appreciate it!
COVID Tests
Since we now have 6 confirmed positive cases from our school last week (4 in primary and 2 in junior high), we REQUIRE everyone to send your child’s Homeroom teacher a picture of a dated negative COVID test result by tonight, Monday 9/5. If your child is sick and showing any symptoms, please keep them home. Since all junior high students were considered close contacts by definition of the LA County Dept of Public Health, we are asking that they mask this week to mitigate the spread of the virus. Please refer to the following flowchart from LACDPH for recent Covid exposure: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/acd/NCorona2019/docs/SchoolIsolationQuarantineFlowChart.pdf.
Schedule
Starting Tuesday, September 6th, we will have our full-day schedule 7:50am 3:00pm. Junior high students should drop off their backpacks in their Homeroom classes every day at 7:45am. We will line up for Morning Assembly in front of the St. Jude statue at 7:50am on Tuesday morning to welcome our Kinder students on their first day of school. At 7:55, we will all walk over to 8am Mass in the church.
We will begin Music and PE classes this week. Students should come to school dressed in uniform. The uniform schedule is provided at the bottom of the block schedule sheet according to grade level.
