Dear first grade families,
Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a blessed weekend with their families. Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week 9/19-9/23. I ask that you please read all of the information I post or email along with all of the attachments. I am being asked questions that are covered in detail by the e-mail and posts that I have put out.
Catechetical Sunday, Sept 18
Please join us on Catechetical Sunday, all families welcome! 11am Mass. Students must wear Formal mass uniform to get a free dress pass
Students getting picked up early and emails during the day
Parents, please send me an email the day before if there are any changes regarding your child’s pick-up time or if somebody else is picking them up. I don’t get to check my emails during the day since I’m teaching, please copy me and the office for any updates. If you are picking up your child early, please wait in the office for your child. Please don’t go in our classroom, it distracts our class. All missed work/ test will be marked unexcused without any doctor’s note or any valid reason. As much as possible, please try to set up doctor’s appointment every Wednesday after school so your child doesn’t miss any classwork, instruction or test.

ST MATH, Freckle & Epic!
ST Math is not part of your child’s daily homework. ST MATH is only for classroom use and is part of our math classroom grade. I have instructed all students about this already. I can track students ST MATH log in activities. If you want your child to do some extra practice at home, they may access Freckle for Math and ELA and practice reading on EPIC! app.
Lunch/Snack
Parents, please tell your child what’s inside their lunch bags every day, what food they’ll eat snack or lunch. Our first graders usually come out 5-10 mins before 12pm. This allows us to have enough time to wash our hands and get food from the cafeteria.
Back to School Night, Wed. Sept 21.
9/21 is our Back to School Night in person in the Hall at 6:30pm. Teachers will host 2 identical 15-minutes sessions in their classroom after our General Parent Meeting. Please find a sitter for your children, no daycare is available.
This is the first of three mandatory parent meetings throughout the year. Non-participation will result in a $50 fine every time, per the tuition contract you each signed. Please try to find childcare so you can attend.
Vicki Marsha Uniform will be on campus that day in Rm 6, and we will also be passing out chocolates for our Fall Candy Sale that week in Rm 5. Stay tuned for more details. Come early to sign in for credit and pick up your chocolates in Rm 5 (tentatively).
