I made a google document of the sign up sheets for parent teacher conferences, and put in the information that you provided. They will be happening from Monday 10/10- Thursday 10/13. There was a typo on some of the sheets, (Sorry about that!) and each day will be starting at 12:50. I shifted the appointments down, so all families are in the same order, please check the sheet to confirm your date and time.
Answers to parent questions:
1. What math worksheets should they put in the green folder?
The students’ math textbooks did not come in until last week, so I had been printing out the math lesson pages. The kids should have turned in their sheets last Friday so that I could revise them for their classwork grade. In the future, now that they have their textbooks, we will do textbook checks as well as homework (English and Math) book checks on Friday morning in class. They will not tear out any sheets to put in their green folders.
2. What do students need to turn in on Friday?
Their vocabulary homework should be turned in weekly for revision as well as any take-home science, religion, or social studies worksheets.Any test corrections should be placed in the green folder for half credit on Friday the week it was returned.
3. Can ST Math and Freckle be done at home? Can you check their AR progress? Yes, yes, and yes! I will sometimes be assigning ST Math or Freckle for homework. I encourage you to read with your children/ have your children read each night for at least twenty minutes. We have practiced checking their AR progress in class, so they should know how to access it. They log into Renaissance, then click on AR, this should take them to the home page where they should see their rocket and % of progress.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Peace and joy,
Ms. Sardina
