Dear first grade families,
Blessed Friday! Here is all the information that you and your child will need for the week of 10/3-10/7. I ask that you please read all of the information I post or email along with all of the attachments. I am being asked questions that are covered in detail by the e-mail and posts that I have put out.
If you miss out any emails, you can check out my school blog; http://www.stanthonygardena.org/first-grade/
Email fonts
I received emails from 2 parents stating that my emails can’t be read because of the font I use. I use a Times New Roman font, which is the default. I’m not sure why its cursive to some email recipients, I apologize about that but I’m not sure how to fix it. If you are not able to read my emails, please refer to my blog, http://www.stanthonygardena.org/first-grade/

Our All-School mass this week will be on Tuesday, October 4th instead of Friday. Students MUST come to school with their COMPLETE Formal Mass uniform.
Progress Reports
Our Parent Teacher Conference will be on the week of Oct. 10-14th, I will send reminders regarding your chosen appointments with me. During this time, I will be discussing your child’s progress reports and STAR test results. With that being said, any missing/incomplete homework will reflect on your child’s grades. Please check Gradelink if your child is missing any homework and reach out to me directly if you have any concerns or questions. Please keep in mind that the progress report is just a snapshot of where your child is at right now. Final Grades will be given at the end of the 1st trimester.
MATH HOMEWORK PAGES
I’m noticing some of our first graders are not following instructions on their Go Math homework pages. Please make it a habit with your child of reading the instructions before answering their homework pages. Not following instructions will lose half a point for each number that they don’t follow. The daily math homework pages assigned is a continuation of our math instruction in the classroom, I want to make sure that students fully understand the lessons well before doing their homework at home.
