Dear Kindergarten families,
I hope everyone is having a nice weekend! Thank you to everyone for attending our recent Parent-Teacher Conference. I appreciate everyone taking the time to meet with me, and I hope our conference provided you with some valuable insight into your child’s progress in school.
Kindergarten Survey
I welcome feedback on how your year is going and how together we can make Kindergarten a positive growth year. This may be too early to ask for an evaluation, but I would like to hear your voice in case you did not have a chance to comment, ask, or suggest at our Back to School Night or during our Parent-Teacher Conference. This will be anonymous. Please respond by the end of this week. Please click the following link:

Substitute Mrs. Patel on Friday, October 21st:
I will be attending an Archdiocese Teacher Development workshop all day on October 21st. Mrs. Patel, a St. Anthony of Padua substitute teacher, I have worked with will be in the classroom with Mrs. Claros.
Mass on Friday, October 28th:
October 28th is Kindergarten’s first Mass. Students should wear their formal Mass uniform.
Halloween Costumes
To ensure that all costumes follow our School’s Halloween costume guidelines, please email me what costume your child is planning on wearing on October 31.
Costumes must be appropriate and pre-approved, or a student may be sent home to change.
- Costumes should be child-friendly. No inflatables, no gory or scary clowns, no devils, or scary costumes
- Costumes Should Not:
- Be obstructive, offensive, inappropriate for a Catholic school (skimpy or revealing), gory, evil, or violent
- Drag on the ground
- Contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another person.
- Contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Encourage cross-dressing. Boys dress up like boys and girls dress up like girls.
Students must be able to sit down in their seats and should come to school already dressed in their costumes. Please be sure your child is able to use the restroom unassisted. I recommend students wear their PE uniform under their costume in case they want to change later in the day.
Masks may be worn for the parade only, but they must not obstruct vision and eyes must be visible at all times. Masks will be taken off after the parade and picture taking.
Saint Puppet Project & Report DUE on November 1st
Instructions and templates were posted on the Seesaw app on October 4th. A hard copy of the instructions and a paper brown bag were sent home in the green folders on October 10th. After you have uploaded your video, please return the completed puppet in your child’s green folder.
All Saints Day: November 1st
Students can come to school dressed up as ANY Saint. Saint costumes do not need to be elaborate. Students will process in Mass with the school in their Saint costumes. Costumes should go over your child’s school uniform, as we will be changing in the classroom after Mass. This will be part of their Religion participation grade.
