Happy Saturday!
I am so proud of how well our Kindergarten class did at Mass. We received so many compliments from teachers and administrations.
Here is all the information you and your child will need for the week of 10/31-11/4.This week is a busy one, so please be sure to read through all the following information.
Halloween Costumes- Monday, October 31st (NOON DISMISSAL, daycare till 3pm only)
To ensure that all costumes follow our School’s Halloween costume guidelines, please send me an email before October 31st describing your child’s costume. The costume must be appropriate and pre-approved, or a student may be sent home to change.
Costumes should be child-friendly. No inflatables, no gory or scary clowns, no devils, or scary costumes
Costumes Should Not:
- Be obstructive, offensive, inappropriate for a Catholic school (skimpy or revealing), gory, evil, or violent
- Drag on the ground
- Contain sharp objects, pointed objects, or materials that may accidentally strike another person.
- Contain any weapons that resemble or could be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Encourage cross-dressing. Boys dress up like boys, and girls dress up like girls.
Students have to be able to sit down in their seats and come to school already dressed in their costumes. I recommend student wear their PE uniforms under their costumes.
Students must bring their own Halloween buckets/bag for trunk or treat.
All students and adults volunteering may dress in their favorite appropriate Halloween costume and must follow the same guidelines. The events are for students only.
Homework
Please note no homework will be assigned on Monday or Tuesday to allow students time to work on the Saint project.
Saint Puppet Project due Tuesday, November 1st
Please be sure to upload your video on the Seesaw app before turning in your completed puppet. Parents may guide their child by asking them questions.
All Saints Day dress up & All School Mass day, Tuesday, November 1st (No MASS on Friday)
Students may come to school dressed up as ANY Saint. Saint costumes do not need to be elaborate! Students will process in Mass with the school in their costumes. Costumes should go over your child’s school uniform, as we will be changing in the classroom after Mass. This will be part of their Religion participation grade.
