***************************
Hi 6th grade parents,
I hope this email finds you and your family well.
Mrs. Dyogi had a great idea of having an Advent themed holiday party to kick off the holiday season. We will be having the party next Friday afternoon during lunchtime, it will be an “Advent Celebration with the Saints.” It will prepare the kids for Christmas and also to celebrate the special saint/feast days happening during this season.
We will have games related to the saints and their feast days to help the students learn their stories. We will have food and dessert, it will be on Juan Diego’s feast day so we will be having Mexican food. We are asking each student to donate $15, to cover their lunch. You can Venmo (Lorena-lakey) be sure NOT to select paying for goods or services as that deducts from the amount sent and put your child’s name in the comments section, Zelle or send the money in an envelope and give it to Mr. Aguilar in the office. We are asking for money to be turned in by Wednesday, 12/7 at the latest since food will need to be ordered ahead of time.
We will also be honoring St. Nicolas and we will incorporate a gift exchange. Mrs. Dyogi has recommended a faith-based book exchange. She has provided the link below we some great suggestions of some really cool books that promote spiritual growth.

Please have your student come with the book wrapped and ready to exchange.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you have a blessed holiday season.
Thanks,
Lorena Lakey
