There are a lot of events happening this week, please read all the information I post or email and the attachments. I am being asked questions covered in detail by the email and posts I have put out.

The extra money we received from Thanksgiving will be added to the money that we’ll be collecting. Each student will pay $5 to cover food, decorations & games. Kindly put your exact payment in an envelope with your child’s name and put it in your child’s homework folder.
Please do not hand it to me in the morning, it gets busy, and I might misplace your child’s money envelope.
Please turn in the $5 by this Monday, Dec 12.
Food: Pizza
*Please don’t pay for your child’s hot lunch for this day since we’re having a party. (Alvarado Catering)

K-8th Grade (Excludes 5th): You will be wearing Poinsettia (Christmas) red! Boys should dress in nice dress shirt tops (Red) with black dress pants (NO JEANS), and black shoes and socks. Girls can either wear a red formal dress with leggings (socks or tights in tan, white, or black) and black dress shoes. Or they can wear a red blouse with a black skirt, white tights and black dress shoes. Hair should be nicely done. For the girls, make sure it looks nice and formal.
PLEASE NO SANTA HATS OR REINDEER EARS. WE WANT TO LOOK FESTIVE AND FORMAL!
THE CANDLELIGHT PROCESSIONAL, IS ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2022, AT 6:00PM IN THE CHURCH. STUDENTS NEED TO BE IN THEIR CLASSROOMS AT 5:30PM THAT EVENING. PLEASE HAVE THEM EAT DINNER BEFORE ARRIVAL. NO FOOD WILL BE SERVED THAT NIGHT. It is imperative that students show up on time and in costume! PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL AND ON TIME! Students will receive a grade for this performance, so encourage them to do their best.
We have some new rules and procedures in place to ensure that we keep in mind that we are in a church setting which is different from a performance venue. We are striving to honor God and respect that we are in the church.
- Attendance will be limited to immediate family parents or guardians, brothers, sisters, and grandparents of the students. Please stick to this rule. You are required to RSVP through this link by Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, at midnight.
- Doors will open at 5:30pm at the Church. Please have your entire group together. There will be a check in table at the side entrance closest to our classrooms. Please enter from that side.
- Once in the church, please stay in your seats as much as possible. This year, we are moving the students up to the front pews. We will NOT be allowing you to move around to take pictures. Please take pictures from your seat. Mrs. Avila or another volunteer may be taking official pictures and we are happy to share them with you. We also will be filming the performance and we will share the link to download the video once it has been edited.
- There should be no food, beverages, gum, or hats (boys and men) worn inside the church.
- You may clap politely after each class performs, but there should be no yelling or loud, obnoxious cheering or clapping. Please be mindful that we are in the House of God.
- During the performance, please remain in your seats and be mindful and respectful that a performance is going on. People want to hear the performers, singers, and speakers. If you are talking, it takes away from the performance.
- New this year, students will process out back to their homerooms at the end of the show. You can pick students up from their homerooms after Mrs. Grey has Error! Filename not specified.announced the raffle winners and we end the show. Dismissal should be by 8pm.
- Each student has a role at the very end of the show. Please DO NOT pick your student up early from where they are sitting. They can be picked up in their homeroom once the show has finished.
- This is a “required” performance, however, if your child is sick or showing symptoms of Covid-19 or the flu, we ask that they stay home. Please email Mrs. Jessica Garcia(jgarcia@stanthonygardena.org) and they will be excused from the performance.
There will be no food vendor at the show this year. Please make sure to have your students eat
something before they arrive at 5:30pm. We will be done by 8pm so they may be hungry if they do not eat beforehand.
The students will not need to bring or wear their costume until the night of the actual performance. Please have them dressed and ready to go!
For the show, face masks are not required for the students, and I’d prefer for the students to NOT wear masks while they perform. If you would like them to wear a mask, please buy a black one for them to wear so they can look uniform with each other.
Dec 16- Cinderella fieldtrip
I recommend students eat breakfast before coming to school. There will be a schedule we will follow, and we won’t be able to eat until 12:30am.
What to bring: Gallon size Ziploc bag with name (water bottle, snack & lunch MUST all fit in the Ziploc, any item that’s not in the Ziploc bag will be left in school)
NO NEED TO BRING: Homework folder, iPad, and backpack
Schedule: It’s a regular school schedule, student must be dropped of by 7:50am and will be dismissed at 3:00pm.
Attire:TBA
*Chaperones/Parent Volunteers will use the 1st grade parents’ Band App to provide updates, share pictures and respond to any questions. Please reach out to them through the band app if you have any questions. Unfortunately, I will not be able to check emails during that time. *
