Dear 6th Grade Parents,
Happy Weekend! We are about to kick off Catholic Schools Week tomorrow with our 11am Family Mass and Open House from 12-2pm. Please see the following announcements for special events this Monday-Friday, as well as other important announcements.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
- Sunday 1/29 – Your family is encouraged to attend our 11am Mass at St. Anthony to pray for our Catholic schools. Students who attend in Formal Mass uniform will receive a Free Dress Pass if they come to my 6th grade classroom during Open House from 12-2pm to pick one up. Please invite family members and friends with school-age children to tour our amazing school!
- Monday 1/30 (Student Appreciation Day) – Junior High students should come to school in REGULAR SCHOOL UNIFORM and bring their pajamas to change into after Mass. NOTE: They do not need to wear uniforms on Tuesday-Friday. There will be no Homework that day. We will also have Chick-fil-A lunch for those students who had pre-ordered last week.
- Tuesday 1/31 (Teachers & Aides Appreciation Day) – Our 6th grade class shirt color to wear this day is RED. We will have a Pep Rally at 10:30am. I asked the students to also extend their appreciation for Mrs. Garcia (Music) and Mrs. Rubalcava (PE) who also work very hard as their teachers! 🙂
- Wednesday 2/1 (Admin & Office Staff Appreciation Day) – Sports jerseys/shirts can be worn from the students’ favorite teams. Please say some extra prayers this day for our wonderful Admin team: Mrs. Grey, Mr. Lynch, Msgr. Sal, Fr. Pirrone, Mr. Aguilar, and Mrs. Ray!
- Thursday 2/2 (Parent Appreciation Day) – Parents will get a special coffee & donut treat during morning carline. We are truly grateful for all that you do! Students can dress up as their future career/profession.
- Friday 2/3 (Special Person’s Day) – Students are to dress in Sunday best for 8am Mass. Please fill out this form that also includes very important details for the day: https://forms.gle/AXYrr4g7mB1jTJdo7
PROGRESS REPORTS & STAR TESTING RESULTS
- 2nd Trimester Progress Reports and STAR Math and Reading Reports will be sent home on WED 2/8. Please continue to check Gradelink and Google Classroom regularly so you are aware of any missing assignments your child may have. If you have any questions or see discrepancies, make sure to ask your child first and then follow up with the teacher.
EXPRESS FEEDBACK FOR GOOD (EFG) SPRING FUNDRAISER
We look forward to you promoting our EFG fundraiser to your family and friends 18 and over, so they can participate and earn money for our school. Hundred X will pay us $1.60 for every brand opinion, and it takes a minute to complete one!
If they do 75 brand opinions in the next few weeks, they will be a Superstar, and your family will earn 2 service hours!
Starting this week, on 1/30, HundredX will be adjusting the feedback limit to 25 pieces of feedback per day, up to a maximum of 75 throughout the 30-day campaign. This change will result in higher quality feedback and will ultimately generate more value for our organization.
6th grade is currently in 2ND PLACE with 4th grade in the lead and 1st grade in a very close 3rd place!
To sign up for the program:
- Text “SAPS2023” to 90412 OR visit https://bit.ly/HXC-SAPS2023
- Make sure to invite your family and friends to participate and choose 6th Grade HOLY HOBBITS before they start their surveys
Thank you again for your support, and we pray you have a very blessed week!
In Christ,
Mrs. Dyogi
