Hoping that everyone is doing well! Here is all the information you and your child will need for the week of 3/20-3/24. I ask everyone to please read all the information I post or email and the attachments. I am being asked questions covered in detail by the email and posts I have put out.

Homework
Please follow the daily assignment on our weekly homework list. Kindly sign the homework list and your child’s behavior chart daily.

Class Spelling Bee on Wednesday, March 22nd
Spelling word lists were sent out last Monday, 3/19. Please take time to review these words with your child. We will have our 1st grade class spelling bee on March 22nd, I encourage all of the students to participate. The 2 spellers of our class spelling bee will be part our representative for the finals on April 5th, All School Spelling Bee. There will be great prizes for the winners!
2nd Trimester awards on March 24th
I will send emails to all of our citizenship awardees this week. Please note that to receive a Citizenship award, a student needs to earn 0’s (Outstanding = 92-100%) on both work habits and behavior grade. Students’ daily behavior, participation, attendance, tests, ST MATH goal and work habits are IMPORTANT factors to receiving an award.
Lenten Project- due on March 29th
During the season of LENT Almsgiving reminds us of Jesus’s call to serve and connects usin solidarity with our brothers and sisters in need. Mrs. Garcia’s 5th grade class has partnered with PAULEY’s PROJECT to “improve the lives of those who find themselves homeless” through street outreach.
ALL SAP Classes, Kinder-8th grade, are asked to help make this service opportunity a success. Beginning Monday, March 13 through Wednesday, March 29, we will be collecting items to create 100 Hygiene Kits.
Donation boxes will be placed by the school office and the 5th grade classroom for you to place your donations.
Our goal is to collect 100 of each listed items:
K- toothpaste & toothbrush
1st- wipes
2nd- bar of soap
3rd- deodorant
4th- shampoo
5th- small hand sanitizers, small combs & notes with a special message.
6th- (1) pen & quart size bags
7th- (2) razors & zip lock bags (snack size)
8th- pair of socks
Uniform
Parents, reminder that inside shirts, sweaters, face mask, socks and girls’ hair accessories must be in school color. please refer to our handbook for details about the uniform to avoid uniform infractions, I will be giving out uniform infractions to those students that are not wearing the correct or proper uniform. Girls can’t have nail polish and boys’ shirts MUST always be tucked in their pants.
MON, TUES, THURS- Complete regular uniform
WED- Complete PE uniform
FRI- Complete formal mass uniform
