Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last Friday, we had a lovely Mass followed by the Second Trimester Awards ceremony. We thank all parents and guardians who came to celebrate with us. We appreciate your continued involvement and investment in your children’s school life. St. Anthony’s has a reputation of achievement, and when your kids receive awards, it is a reflection on both them and you as parents. Congratulations to all students who earned these accomplishments!
Msgr. Sal has announced that only a select few will receive Fiesta wristbands this year. Those students who earned Citizenship in the first 2 trimesters of this school year, will qualify to be in a classroom raffle for a free Fiesta ride wristband, valued at $120 apiece. Each class will pick 2 winners. Those who qualified for the drawing and did not win, will have the opportunity to PURCHASE 2 wristbands at HALF PRICE: one for them, and one for their adult chaperone. So basically, they can buy wristbands at “2 for the price of 1.” We are grateful for this opportunity. If you have questions, Mrs. Rose Moore is the Fiesta Chair.
Every Friday in Lent, we will have an all school Stations of the Cross at 1:15pm in the Church, followed by Benediction. Stations of the Cross will also be held at St. Anthony of Padua Parish every Friday evening in the church at 7pm, along with a Fish Fry in the Hall from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m, organized by the Knights of Columbus. Pre-sale tickets are $9 after Mass, and $10 at the door.
Spring Picture Day is on March 30. Students who are ordering photos may wear their Sunday best to school. Everyone else must continue to wear their school uniforms if their spring photos are not being taken. (K–5 students can keep wearing their spring picture attire, as they will be going on a field trip.) We ask that they wear school sweaters over their outfits to be recognized as a SAP Student. On Friday, 3/31 from 9:00 to 10:00 am is the 8th grade pictures. Students must wear their Sunday best underneath their caps and gowns.
Open Enrollment for the 2023-2024 SY is now open to the public. If you did not register for next year, your child has been automatically waitlisted. Those on a registration hold may not register until your hold is lifted by administration. All accounts must be current in order for your child to re-register as well. Finally, Yearbooks are now $40. Reserve your hardcover Yearbook now by sending a check made payable to the School with an order form.
Parents may sign up for their family’s 8 Fiesta Hours in Rm 7 all this week, Monday-Friday, from 4:00pm-5:30pm with Mrs. Pattie Padilla.
Blessings,
Mrs. Grey and Mr. Lynch

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to SAP. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart/Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $15/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. We are always in need of Yard Duty, Daycare, and Traffic PLC volunteers.
CELL PHONES NOT ALLOWED, SOCIAL MEDIA NOT A GOOD IDEA
Parents, please note that NO student in our K-8 school needs a cell phone. We have landlines available for their use. If a child is seen using their cell phone on campus it will be confiscated and will result in a referral on the progressive discipline chart. Your child’s use of devices should be limited at home (the doctor recommendation is 2 hours a day) and should only be used with direct supervision by a trusted adult. Do not let your child sleep with a device. Access to social media is NOT a good idea. Please monitor your child’s use at home. If their behavior online violates our Acceptable Use Policy, there will be serious consequences. NO EXCEPTIONS.
