Mandatory Parent Meeting, Wednesday, May 3rd
This Wednesday, 5/3, is the Mandatory Parent Meeting for parents K-8 in the Hall. The meeting begins at 6:30pm so please make sure to send one parent or family member to attend (limited seating). There will be no daycare, so please leave children at home. There is a $50 fine for non-attendance. Please arrive on time to sign in.
California Science Center fieldtrip, Thursday, May 4th
We will have our last educational trip on May 4th to California Science Center with the 2nd graders. If you have not settled payments with Mr. Aguilar, please do so before Wednesday this week.
What to wear: Complete Regular School Uniform (if your child is bringing a sweater or jacket, it must be a school jacket/sweater with our school logo) *Students won’t be allowed to take it off during the trip*
What to bring: heavy snacks to eat in school and lunch in a Ziploc to bring to the location. (All lunch items must fit in a gallon size Ziploc, drinks included)
*The bus will leave at 9am and get back around 2pm. We will eat snacks before we leave school and eat lunch at the location. *
Our parent volunteers for this day will be Ms. Jennifer Ruiz (Siobhan’s mom) & Mrs. Lupita Zepeda (Oliver’s mom). Sr. Deliah will also be joining us in this trip!
Muffins with mom on Friday, May 5th
This Friday, 5/5, we enjoy Muffins with Mom as an early Mothers’ Day Celebration. We will proceed to the hall after 8am Mass, where the mothers pick up muffins with their children after the 8 a.m. mass. After Muffins with Mom, students must go back to their classrooms with their teacher. Dads are asked to help volunteer and serve. Claudia Guzman and Francisca Gonzalez are our Hospitality PLC Chairs. Please respond to their requests and sign up to volunteer for this event.
Bringing Money to School
Parents, please avoid sending your child with money to school. If you have any transaction with the office, please settle it with the office. Students do not need to bring money to school, even if it is in their backpacks. Students tend to be so “kind” with money that they start giving it to their classmates. They still do not understand the value of money in some way.
Coloring Materials
Speaking of kindness, at this time of the year, students already exchanged/misplaced their coloring materials. Some students have a lot of missing materials most especially markers, crayons or coloring pencils. Please take time this weekend to buy some of these materials for your child. Having their own materials will greatly help our daily transition and avoid distractions during academic learning time.
