Hello Families!
We are in the home stretch! As mentioned, the kids were amazing with their lemonade stand, and were absolutely adorable in Little Red Ridinghood!! We even have a few kiddos representing Third Grade and performing in Newsies this weekend! Phenomenal!!!
Another shout-out to the incredible faith-filled kids you are raising: this week we had an intruder alert drill. In less than a minute the kids had shut the door, put down the blinds, and were all securely in the corner. We prayed the guardian angel prayer and a few Hail Marys while we waited. Even though the kids were not sure if it was a drill or not, they kept calm under pressure. After it was over, I asked the kiddos what they should do when they are afraid, and many responded, pray to God because He will protect us and keep us safe. Their faith is inspiring!!
Announcements:
End of the trimester Friday
I will be updating the grade book tomorrow (sorry it’s so outdated!) and the kids will have WIN time in class each day this week in case they need to make up assignments, redo tests/quizzes or work on ST Math or AR.
No more homework for the rest of the year!!!!
Woo hoo! There will also not be tutoring for the remainder of the year as well.
Crossover Day Wednesday
Students will meet with Mr. Farley their fourth-grade teacher to get their summer assignments. He has been popping in a few times to meet the kids and even do a sample lesson, so they’ve already started to get to know him. I’m going to miss them so much! But I know they are in capable hands next year.
Class Party Friday: Third Grade Carnival
All you wonderful parents, God bless you! The room parents have been working hard to prepare a carnival for the kiddos! Please bring $10 by Wednesday in cash or venmo Mrs Laura Marquez 310-415-6462 or Mrs. Liz Aldaco 310-922-0331. Attached to the email is an awesome flyer! They will be watching Animal Crackersby Tony Bancroft (PG) with carnival games after. There will be water games so please have students bring PE clothes and towel to change into after lunch this Friday.
God bless!
Peace and joy,
Ms. Sardina
