Dear SAP School Families,
What a wonderful week it was to see all the small class musical shows and the 2 performance nights of Newsies, Jr in the Hall. The performances were nothing short of spectacular, and we could not have been more proud of our students! Special thanks to Mrs. Jessica Garcia for all her hard work with our students. Thank you to all our Theater parents and our SAP faculty and staff for all your help and support. We are blessed to have such a fabulous performing arts program in our school. Praise God for all these gifts and talents bestowed upon us.
Hard to believe this is the last week of school for 8th grade! All week, they will have Free Dress and noon dismissal.
Last Friday, 6/2, we had our Student Government Inauguration in the church. It was beautiful to merge the Inauguration of our new leaders with Eucharistic Adoration. It was a blessing to see the current year’s leaders pass the torch to incoming student leaders. We pray for all our students and thank God for their leadership and initiative.
This Friday, 6/9, is the last day of the 3rd trimester for all of our students in grades K-7. Our 3rd trimester Awards Ceremony is next week 6/15. All families are invited to attend Mass and the Awards ceremony on the last day of school.
As we finish off the St. Anthony of Padua School career for our 8th graders, some of whom have been here with us since preschool, we pray for their futures in high school and beyond. This Sunday, 6/4, we were able to give a special blessing to our 8th graders and our former Class of 2019 graduates heading off to college. They all truly exemplify what we hope for all our SAP graduates: that they are Heaven and College Bound, and saints in training. Many prayers go out to our SAP families as they begin new chapters in their lives.
Finally, it was announced at Mass this weekend that our new Director of Religious Education will be our current junior ELA high teacher, Mrs. Dyogi. We are grateful for her service to our school and are excited to work with her in this new capacity next year.
Blessings,
Mrs. Grey and Mr. Lynch

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to SAP. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart/Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $15/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. We are always in need of Yard Duty, Daycare, and Traffic PLC volunteers.
KEEPING HANDS TO SELF, PERSONAL SPACE
Students have been reminded multiple times by me and their teachers that they need to keep their hands, feet, and all objects to themselves. If students are touching each other in any way, it could lead to detention or a referral. Please see the handbook. Remind your kids to keep their hand to themselves and stay in their bubble/personal space at all times. This is becoming a safety issue.
CELL PHONES NOT ALLOWED, SOCIAL MEDIA NOT A GOOD IDEA
Parents, please note that NO student in our K-8 school needs a cell phone. We have landlines available for their use. If a child is seen using their cell phone on campus it will be confiscated and will result in a referral on the progressive discipline chart. Your child’s use of devices should be limited at home (the doctor recommendation is 2 hours a day) and should only be used with direct supervision by a trusted adult. Do not let your child sleep with a device. Access to social media is NOT a good idea. Please monitor your child’s use at home. If their behavior online violates our Acceptable Use Policy, there will be serious consequences. NO EXCEPTIONS.
