Dear Kindergarten families,
I have loved growing with your children in our “Kinder Garden.”
We have a lot going on this week culminating with Kindergarten Promotion on Wednesday, our last day of school. Please review the attachments which were also sent last week on June 6th and remember to RSVP.
Kindergarten sashes were sent home on Monday, June 5th. If you haven’t already turned your child’s in, sashes are due tomorrow, Monday, June 12th.
Kindergarten Team
“It takes a village to raise a child” is a proverb that means that an entire community of people must support and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment.
I’d like to thank Mrs. Claros, Ms. C, Ms. Gabby and Ms. Maria for helping me and the students. You will forever be a part of our Kindergarten memories.
Our Super Awesome Parent room team, comprised of Mrs. Adesina, Mrs. Avila, Mr. and Mrs. Dametta and Mrs. Pavon, thank you for your tireless efforts and partnership all year.
Monday and Tuesday Noon Dismissal
June 12-13, we have noon dismissal. Daycare is offered on Monday-Tuesday. This week will still be counted in the final attendance. If you plan not to bring your child to school, please let me know.
Report Cards
Report cards will not be released if you have any pending balances in the office. Please settle these payments with Mr. Aguilar. Lastly, I can’t release report cards early, if your child is not coming to school this week. Release day will be on June 14, Wednesday at our Kindergarten promotion.
School Materials
Students will need their folders only on Monday. Kindly make sure students bring their backpacks on Monday and Tuesday. We will be sending home their school materials this week.
Dress up days
Mon: Disney shirt & jeans (no ripped jeans)
Tues: Complete Formal Mass uniform (10:00 am mass, Feast of St. Anthony of Padua). Students can bring lilies and bread to be blessed.
Wed: Promotion attire
Awards
I will send direct emails to all our awardees’ parents. As I previously mentioned, citizenship is not just about academic grades. A student must have O’s on both behavior and work habits. Most significantly, a student must follow our Tribes Agreement.
Work habits grade includes the following:
• Homework
• Classwork
• Projects
• Attendance
• Class participation
• Daily school materials (homework folder, etc.)
• Following classroom routines
• Following Tribes Agreement (in and out of the classroom)
• Test
• ST Math goal
Homework
No homework for this week. Students may start working on their 1st grade summer packet. It was given out last June 7, 2023. If you have any questions regarding the summer packet or supplies, everything is posted on the school website by clicking here. Should you have additional questions, please get in touch with Ms. Martinez at nmartinez@stanthonygardena.org.
