Hello Kindergarten families,
Our first day of school is almost here! It was so nice to see so many of our Kindergarten families at Friday’s Meet and Greet. I recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. I know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success.
Please take note of the following reminders for this week and also for the first week of school on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. I ask that you please read all of the information.
First Week of School 8/16-8/18
NOON DISMISSAL, DAYCARE available from 12-6pm. Please be sure to enroll with Ms. Pattie Padilla. You can contact the office for more information.
Students may arrive as early as 7:30am and will be marked tardy after 7:50am. When you arrive, students should wait on the blue benches in front of the classroom. Students should not play nor run around in the morning.
Please NO lingering around the classroom and congregating. Please note that parents will not be allowed in the classroom.
Know that for security purposes, ALL Gates will be closed at 8am daily, after the 7:50 tardy bell rings. We will secure the campus at that time.
Only Kinder and 1st grade parents may park in the small lot and use the crosswalks to walk to the classrooms and drop off their children. Same for pickup at noon on the first week of school. Please drive safely and follow the speed 5 mph limit.
Temporary Roster
There is a temporary roster posted outside our classroom above the backpack hooks so students know where to put their backpacks. Please know that our roster is still NOT finalized. Students’ numbers may still change, please don’t label your child’s materials with their number. I will let all families know once we have the finalized roster. Hopefully, I can assign the numbers to the students in 2 weeks.
When the bell rings at 7:50 am, students should be standing on the blue tape on the black top in front of Kindergarten marked with their number. On the first day of school, I suggest lining up at 7:45 am next to your student. Please let your child know on Wednesday, we will be walking in two lines to the St. Jude statue for morning outside assembly.

To welcome all families on our first day of school, we are offering donuts and coffees to all the parents. Please join us by the brown benches. Donuts are only for parents/guardians not for students!

Parents and students should review the contents together. If you have any questions, please call the school office.
